High Performance Driving at VIR, VA
June 30 - July 1
Imagine driving a world class track as part of a run group with more than 10,000hp on the circuit at one time. Think
of the sounds as Chevrolet V8 muscle shows what it can do. The first VIR event sold out in 2 hours and the
overwhelming popularity of that track encouraged us to reserve the track for 2008. The VIR-HPDE will return to Virginia
International Raceway in Danville, VA. As our participants in the other HPDE's have discovered, there are more smiles
per mile at one of these schools than you can imagine. Once again we will have two sections for the beginner/novice
group as well as slots for intermediate, advanced and instructors with room for a total of 126 students (not counting
instructors). Students must drive either a coupe or FRC Corvette; convertibles are only permitted if they have an
SCCA roll cage. All students in the beginner, novice and intermediate level will have classroom instruction and will
be accompanied by an instructor in their car while on track. Advanced students will be checked out for possible
solo status. Make your reservations as soon as registration opens as this event will fill up in HOURS. Pre-registration
includes a personalized event hard card, banquet and event t-shirt. For more information or to register, go to:
www.corvettemuseum.com/registration/HPDE/virinfo.shtml.
