Keys to Fantasy, FL
LCCC 2011 Grand Caravan
June 12 - 24 - Only
days left to register
- ACT TODAY -
Don't Miss this year's Grand Caravan.
LCCC is off to explore Florida on a grand tour around the State.
The Grand Caravan will start, following our stay on Amelia Island, with a real
water cruise as we ferry across the St. Johns River. Then its heading south as we
travel down famous A1A Scenic Byway on our way to driving our Vettes on Daytona
Beach, touring the Daytona International Speedway, before heading to St. Augistine
where we'll enjoy the sights and hospitality of the city.
Cocoa Beach is our next stop, and
Ron Jon's Surf Shop, I Dream of Jeannie. It's off for a visit
of Palm Beach on our way to Fort Lauderdale. The next
morning we're off stopping at interesting sights along the
way as we head for a couple days in Key West and the
southernmost point in the continental US. From Key West
we start heading north to Florida City, seeing Key Largo, the Everglades
National Park and Schnebly Winery along the way. The next day we'll head on
experiencing Gator Park, taking in the Tamiami Trial scenic byway, and stopping at
Naples. It's onto Sarasota, stopping at the Myakka River State Park and Ringling
Museum. Then we head inland to Orlando where we'll spend the next several days
taking in enjoy all the sights, sounds, activities, and fun the Magic Kingdom,
Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Universal Studios Islands of Adventure, Animal Kingdom,
Downtown Disney, Sea World, and other attractions Orlando has to offer. Or head
over to Cape Canaveral to take an informative guided tour of USA's Space Launch
facility, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, and awe inspiring exhibits.
We'll see historic old forts, cities and museums, eat at famous Florida
restaurants and cafes, hunt for Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth, work on our tans
at many of the best Florida beaches, enjoy a sunset on Mallory Square, have a
margarita at Margaritaville, enjoy Hemmingway's favorite hangout Sloppy Joe's,
check out the Hog's Breath Saloon. How about a latte on Worth Avenue, or a gelato
while you stroll around the fountain at Il Bellagio? Ever been to the The Dry
Tortugas? Have you seen Solomon's Castle or the Coral Castle? How about the
Breakers Hotel? For those who love golf, we'll be at the International Golf Hall of
Fame. Do you have what it takes to be a pro? And you enjoy some of the best
accommodations Florida has to offer, like Key West's Crowne Plaza Hotel.
And yes, LCCCers will have the opportunity to challenge Lady Luck at
the Hard Rock Casino. You know, somebody's got to win all that money. Why not you?
And there is a whole lot more planned for this year's Grand Caravan.
Sounds like fun? Interested? Email:
activities@lostcorvettes.org.
Spaces will be limited as lodging for the caravan destinations will sell out
quickly.
